Our Staff


Every member of our professional and compassionate team is honored to serve our patients and families in the very personal and difficult journey through the last stages of life.       

Medical Director

Dr. John Gamboa is a board certified oncologist at The Cancer Center of Idaho, and oversees the medical care of our patients. He has dedicated the past 10 years to providing support and leadership to the Boise Memorial Hospice team and providing excellence in medical supervision for our patients.

Owner and Director

Laurie Campbell is our owner and manages the daily operations of the agency.  She is dedicated to the hospice philosophy and strives to meet our commitment to provide excellence in patient care. She has 15 years of experience in the health care industry.

Nursing Staff

Katie Bingham, RN, brings her nursing experience to hospice and is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of our patients and families. She is always caring and compassionate and goes out of her way to deliver the highest level of care.

Becky Syltie, RN, CHPN, comes to us as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, providing compassionate end of life comfort care to our patients and families when it is needed most.

Arlene Griffiths, RN, brings years of knowledge and hospice experience as she provides nursing care to each of our patients and their families. 

Chaplain

Rev. Jamie McPherson brings compassion, understanding and comfort to our patients and families.  Jamie is insightful and helpful as he leads patients and families through difficult times. 

Social Services & Bereavement

Jenny Kendall, LMSW, Director of Social Services,  oversees the Social Work Department to ensure that our patients receive the compassionate care that we strive to provide.

Kim Trehal, LSW, manages the psychosocial aspects of hospice care which include assistance with community resources as well as compassion and understanding to our patients and families.  Kim also doubles as our Bereavement Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator.

Dietitian

Rebecca Hampshire, RDLD, understands the unique needs of hospice patients and provides nutritional and dietary assistance as needed. 

Hospice Aides

Joanna, Tricia, and Tasha provide a variety of services to our patients including grooming, bathing and other activities of daily living.  They can also help with light housekeeping, meal preparation and short periods of respite for caregivers.

Office Services Manager

Holly Beckstrom is responsible for all the components of keeping the office in order and in balance.  Doubling as our Quality Assurance Manager she is in charge of all the Performance Improvement Projects.  She is always cheerful and ready to help wherever needed.

Hospice Volunteers

The volunteers offer an array of services from running errands, to providing periods of respite.  The modern hospice movement was founded in volunteerism and they remain at the heart of hospice.  We are thankful for our wonderful group of volunteers and we value their dedicated and compassionate service.
